On May 16, 2017, Maryland Heights Community Center had their Grand Opening celebration. They had an amazing turnout! And they had set up a scavenger hunt where if you received all the stamps you could be entered into a drawing and you could earn prizes. My children and I had fun exploring the new center and getting our prizes.
Stop One was the Welcome Desk where we picked up our stamp pages. Community Center Grand Opening
Stamp two was the Gymnasium where we had to do an activity for stamp 11. My kids had fun shooting basketballs.
Stamp 3 was the Aquatic Center where the children had to fish for ducks to get a prize and stamp 12. They have a birthday room beside the swimming pool and an indoor lazy river, children’s area, slide, and lap lanes. It was hard to convince my son NOT to get in the water. =)
Stamp 4 was the Millennium Rooms where they had dancing for another stamp. And they also had vendors offering samples from local restaurants and stores.
They also had an activity room with samples of projects that you can do in various classes offered at the Community Center and another room where you had to draw a picture to receive a stamp.
Downstairs they also had the Play Center where you can bring your child and pay for them to be watched while you hit the gym!
Upstairs on one side we walked around the indoor track. And checked out the Fitness Center.
The other side of the center has a Senior Lounge and another classroom.
We collected our prizes, which included hats, and cool pens, and Frisbee.
We finished off by going to a local park to meet the mayor and get a prize, which was a kite. The kids were exhausted by that time and we headed home.
