Loretto Manor Park

Loretto Manor Park is a two acre park just off Patterson Road (1605 Patterson Road).  One of the things I love about Florissant is the way the community takes every opportunity to create a park like the Tower Court Park which is situated on the land that houses the water tower and this park which sits on land used for power lines.  The park has a newer playground for children ages 2-5 and a slide and swings.  It also has a picnic table, trash can and green space.  The biggest drawback about this neighborhood park is the traffic on Patterson but the playground is set back from the road.  The park does not have water or a restroom so come prepared.

Running beside the park is the Sunset Greenway which extends 3.5 miles from Old Town Florissant by Coldwater Commons Park, through Saint Ferdinand Park and ends at Sunset Park.  This paved path is ideal for bikes and strollers and has an information stop at Loretto Manor Park.  There is no parking available there though.  If you park at Saint Ferdinand you can bike to Loretto, let the children play and let them bike back.  There is a crossing light on Patterson.
