St. Ann is a mid sized city of about 14,000 in north central St. Louis County.  According to the city website, St. Ann was founded between 1938 and 1948 with the official first day being April 13, 1948.  The city was founded to provide housing for families working in defense plants.  Many of the original families were WWII veterans.  St. Ann incorporated Buder Park, Buder Terrace, and Mary Ridge.

St. Ann has 7 city parks and a county park.  The city parks are well taken care of and up to date.
